Our little town of Bellingham has been getting a lot of attention lately. Outside Magazine ranked us the best paddling town in the country. National Geographic called Bellingham one of the top ten Adventure Towns in the country. CNN and Retire Magazine say were one of the best places for active retirees. Bellingham is a college town with a real downtown, mountains, sea shore, islands, and trails for hiking and mountain biking. Our family has lived here for over 25 years and I agree with all of the praise, but now everyone else knows about us. So recently Inc Magazine called Bellingham one of the country's "boomtowns" which means more people and higher prices and construction everywhere you look. It remains a wonderful place to live and work and play and raise a family but figuring out how to manage the growth and maintain quality of life wil be a large and difficult but wholly worthwhile task.

This page contains photos I've taken of Bellingham that others have enjoyed so I'll share them here, too.

Animals around Bellingham

Bellingham in the snow

We only get a few days of snow each year but the beauty can be breathtaking. Many of these photos were taken at Fairhaven Park, Marine Park and Whatcom Creek.

Bent Icicles

These icicles were formed on the shed at Fairhaven Boatworks. The formed bent by the steady, 12 degree Fahrenheit wind. B-r-r-r-r.
