Colorful boats at Fairhaven Boatworks,
launch point for my commute.
South Hill, Bellingham. Looking at the Chrysalis Inn and new boardwalk from a crab pot float.
Turning north past
Boulevard Park.
Coast Guard in
Bellingham Bay.
Destination,
Little Squalicum Beach
.
(Amtrack running along the hillside like a Lionel toy train.)
Paddling backwards, a seal follows, swimming around and under the boat.
The water commute ends, time to assemble the cart.
Kayak lifted onto the cart. Time to fasten the straps and start rolling up the trail to work.
